On the 18th January 2012 our beautiful little f1 Jukara took ill,
without any warning Jukara just seemed very cold and unsettled,
I picked her up to give her a cuddle and she cried as if she were in pain.
I was so concerned we called our vet immediately and took her straight in to see him. As soon as he saw her he knew there was something very wrong and we thought due to her raw diet perhaps she had got a piece of bone stuck somewhere.
Our vet kept her in and sent us home while he did some x rays and
tried to find out why she was so cold.
He had decided to give her some oxygen to oxygenate her blood before he started his x rays and tests, but unfortunately Jukara just stopped breathing.
Our vet could not understand what had come on so rapidly and so we decided to let him do a post mortem on Jukara in the hope we would find out what had gone wrong.
What our vet found was very upsetting and heart breaking for us, poor little Jukara's lungs were black, her kidneys and liver were not functioning properly and clearly our sweet little girl had been born this way. It's no ones fault and obviously just a freak of nature but needless to say so distressing when you get so fond of these wonderful cats.
Our beautiful and dearly loved little girl was only 6 month old and we cannot imagine life without her.
She will be sadly missed.....
